EvoCup, Protagonist of the new Bio-yogurt line of the Swiss Biedermann dairy

Important news on the Swiss dairy products market for one of our customers. The Swiss Biedermann dairy has always been looking for the most sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions. For this reason, it has chosen to package its own organic yogurt line with our Evo Cup.

The Biedermann dairy has always been looking for the most sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions, both for products and for packaging. In 1989 it was the first dairy in Switzerland to obtain a license for the processing of organic milk (including lactose-free products). Since 2016 it has also produced lines of vegan products based on coconut milk, almond milk, cashew and lupine and currently offers over 30 vegan milk alternatives.

For this reason, it has chosen to package its products with EvoCup which, made with FSC certified papers, reduces the polyethylene (PE) content by 85% compared to standard plastic packaging and maintains the same “shelf-life”. An important project for sustainability as explained by sales and marketing manager Daniel Knill: “With this new packaging, we are reducing the annual consumption of plastic by about 2.2 tons”.

They also introduced an important novelty by combining EvoCup with a thin aluminum film that allows an airtight seal that maintains the product properties unaltered and is easily opened by the consumer.

After the success of EvoCup in the packaging of mozzarella and burrata, Biedermann is the first to use it for yogurt. EvoCup also adapts very well to the new design chosen to launch the Bio line.

The selected board allows printing with high definition bright colors.
