Being a niche player in the packaging industry forces us to listen carefully to our customers and deliver what they ask for, even if this seems impossible at first sight. This is precisely what happened with Ficacci.
Our EvoCup reduces plastic usage at least by 75% compared to traditional plastic packaging, and this is attractive to any producer recognizing the issue of plastic proliferation. EvoCup is produced prevalently with cardboard, and a thin PP layer ensures hygiene, product safety, and shelf-life. Not only, EvoCup diminishes the quantity of plastic drastically, but its recyclability is demonstrated, and Italy with the Lucart facility is a pioneer in Europe. The issue was the product we envisaged to pack into our EvoCup: most people would discourage you from producing cardboard packaging for olive snacks since it can overcome the tight barrier of our sealing. In addition, industry practice has imposed completely transparent plastic packaging, assuming that transparency is mandatory for the consumer. In our EvoCup for Ficacci, we solved the technical problem through our 35 years of skiving experience, introduced a sizeable transparent window displaying the product, and, more important, allowed Ficacci to differentiate itself. The printed surface provides a branding opportunity.
People won’t buy a commodity but a Ficcacci olive mix because of their quality.
